About Elf Life

A lot of confusion has been caused by a number of title changes, exacerbated by a long period of me almost getting evicted, recovering from getting evicted, almost getting evicted again, getting actually evicted, being stuck in a bad place for a long time, looking for a new home, and finally moving into a new home. Updates have been badly intermittent for a long time, but I hope that you will give me another chance now that I have settled in a new home, and I can now draw regularly again.

The title of the series is now simply, as it was from the beginning Elf Life; no more "Alfheim" or "Elf Life This" or "Elf Life That". The new comics continue the story by telling parts that are missing and/or incomplete. Much of this is stuff we should have looked at before I even started telling you about the wedding of Baughb the elf.

What's what

The current comics look at a period of time that should be easy to suss out for returning readers. The faerie Glynhial has just kidnapped Airek Halfogre from Filis' breakfast nook, while Baughb and Filis are left to raise a new army in order to beat back the evil Cesspool elves.

Who's who

Baughb

Baughbberick Lindel, legendary hero and reluctant time traveller. Went insane in the future, but has returned to the past so laid back that most people think he's become an addle-pated boob.

Filis

Filis Marloughe. Spent most of her life resenting Baughb because he represented an era of adventure long gone. After helping to rescue him from goblins, she has discovered that all she ever needed was the opportunity to be a hero in her own right. Now she's madly in love with Baughb -- except for when she wants to kill him.

Biff

Bifftan Basstin, a bipolar brownie. Also a little paranoid; has a strange feeling that they're all being watched, and sometimes addresses an imaginary audience with gossip and hidden information.

Glynhial

Powerful faerie from Baughb's past. In the days of the old elven kingdoms, she was head of the faerie order, attended by loyal bodyguard Baughb.

Airek

Airek Halfogre. Filis' persnickety cousin, Baughb's unloyal friend and stenographer, and apparent eventual heir to the elven patriarchy. He has been kidnapped by Glynhial for a whirlwind adventure in search of signs from the past and clues to the future.
