So the stage is set. Baughb and Filis are still in love, and must build an army for the looming war with the Cesspool elves.

Meanwhile, the faerie Glynhial decided to take a good look at what's been going on in the world while she was gone. She snatched little Airek for a travelling companion, but he seems to have a bad habit of trying to... escape.

A terrified peasant family huddles in the corner, fearing for their lives.

Farmer John:

No, please! Spare my wife and children!

Mother John:

Have mercy, master monster!

An unsettling, grotesque figure menaces them. It's our old friend Airek Halfogre.

Airek:

I'm telling you people, I'm not the monster!

The monster's after me!

Airek spins in fright.

Offstage voice:

Yoo hoo!

Airek:

Gak!

Here it comes now!

Hide me!

Glynhial runs across the field. She has lost her ogre.

Glynhial:

Little big-nose! Where are you?
